MSI announces Optix Series 144 and 240 Hz IPS monitors

The new player monitors from MSI offer different formats with a high refresh rate and a low response time.

MSI announces three new monitor models that it has designed for gamers. The Optix G241 and Optix G271 models offer a 144Hz refresh rate, while the Optix MAG251RX, a more expensive monitor, can achieve a 240Hz refresh rate.

Optix G241 and Optix G271

The MSI Optix G241 and MSI Optix G271 are available with a refresh rate of 144 Hz and a response time of 1 ms. These models with 1080P resolution IPS panel have AMD FreSync certification. The difference between the two monitors is their size, which breaks down into 24 inches and 27 inches.

These monitors offer a horizontal / vertical viewing angle of 178 °, a contrast ratio of 1000: 1 and a maximum brightness of 250 nit. The Optix G241 model covers 96% of the DCI-P3 color gamut and 128% of the sRGB. In the Optix G271 model, these values ​​are shown as 92% and 120%, respectively.

MSI's new game monitors have a frameless and stylish design. These models are also supported by a variety of functions, including Night Vision, to reduce eye strain.

The ports include 1 DisplayPort 1.2a, 2 HDMI 1.4b and 1 headphone output. The MSI Optix G241 is available for $ 189.99 and the MSI Optix G27 for $ 239.99.

Optix MAG251RX

This monitor achieves a resolution of 1080p and a refresh rate of up to 240 Hz with a response time of up to 1 ms (GtG) while maintaining the IPS panel. The 24.5-inch Optix MAG251RX is fully compatible with NVIDIA G-Sync technology.

This model offers a refresh rate of 240 Hz, a viewing angle of 178 ° with a contrast ratio of 1000: 1 and a brightness of 400 nit. In addition, let's mention the DisplayHDR 400 certificate. MAG251RX supports 96% of the DCI-P3 color gamut and 128% of sRGB.

MAG251RX also comes with USB Type-C connectivity and proprietary Mystic Light software that allows MSI users to easily control RGB lighting from a single central hub.

In addition to the USB Type-C, there are 1 DisplayPort 1.2a and 2 HDMI 1.4b inputs on the ports. The retail price of this model, 240 Hz, was set at $ 359.99.
